Lots to be excited for!
Ok I’ll stop talking about Fiori’s 30th anniversary. Only after I tell you the news!
There’s a brand spanking new Autumn/Winter brochure. It’s full to the brim with a great variety of performances on offer, all the way through to that big C winter celebration. I know it’s August (just) but yes, I’m talking Christmas.
But surely I can be forgiven when there’s so much to look forward to!? After all, I’m a big kid when it comes to Christmas so I’m incredibly excited to take in my first performance of Handel’s Messiah. It’s such an iconic piece of music and it’s going to be performed 23rd December in the stunning Guildhall, Northampton.

You’ve also got Christmas Carols from the Victorian times of Thomas Hardy and Charles Dickens. The carollers even look like they’re from the era! Is it wrong that I’m getting excited while it’s still the summertime?
It doesn’t stop there. The programme goes right up to Easter. There’s really something for everyone interested in baroque and classical music, from high profile concerts in London’s Stationers’ Hall and brilliant Mozart operatic arias (an aria basically means an air or melody. It’s normally performed by a single singer) at the Castle Theatre, Wellingborough. Penelope Rapson, Director of Fiori, describes the performances as:
“a real kaleidoscope of different concerts”
See what’s on in the new autumn/winter programme. Which concerts are you most excited about? Don’t worry, they don’t have to be the Christmas ones like my most anticipated!

P.S Remember Fiori’s next concert is Sunday 8th September at Fawsley, with an optional dinner at Fawsley Hall afterwards. The amazing Monica Huggett will be dazzling us with her star violin talents.
