2008/9 is Fiori's Silver Jubilee season. Founded by Penelope Rapson in 1983, Fiori are now Northamptonshire's principal provider and promoter of high quality professional classical music in predominantly rural venues.
Fiori aspire to share their joy and understanding of music with as many as possible from all walks of life; and they make creative use of the many fine historic spaces with which the county is so richly endowed.
But it is Fiori's commitment to broadening and deepening relationships with audiences, as much as their wonderful music and venues, that endears them to so many.
Perhaps as a result of this, a number of Friends of Fiori Musicali have been inspired in this 25th season to form a Silver Jubilee Club. Its principal purpose is to help Fiori increase the scale and scope of their activity and to provide a forum for networking and participation in Fiori's future plans.
The Silver Jubilee Club will be launched at the Friends' buffet reception at Weston Hall on 29 March, immediately following the Goldberg Variations concert. Membership is by Gift Aid donation to the Fiori Musicali Charitable Trust, and a minimum of £250 per person has been suggested for 2008/9. Benefits include:
Complimentary tickets to the Silver Jubilee Club's principal 2008/9 sponsored event, the Monteverdi Vespers performance in Northampton on 17 May;
Invitations to a private view of the Northampton Museum and Art Gallery's Venezia! exhibition of fine art, and a summer garden party;
Thanks and acknowledgement in all Fiori's printed programmes for the 2008/9 season;
The opportunity to influence the future of the Silver Jubilee Club, and to decide on the events that members may wish to support in 2009/10.
All the benefits of being a Friend of Fiori Musicali are automatically included.
