Among Fiori’s landmark successes are unique recordings of Domenico Scarlatti’s chamber cantatas with scholar soprano Kate Eckersley.
Fiori also gave the first British airing to the Requiem in C minor attributed to Zelenka, subsequently recording it on the Metronome label.
Another Fiori trailblazer was the first professional modern-day performance of Haydn’s Creation, to an original text by Haydn’s friend, the poet Anne Hunter.
Then there was the new Gloria, 'rediscovered' in a blaze of publicity and attributed to Handel – again Fiori were there, giving the first public concert with soprano Patrizia Kwella.
And, completing the soprano hat-trick, Fiori backed young soprano Grace Davidson on her debut solo CD.
