Boston Stump

“Nearly stumped by stomping up the Stump”, wrote one chorister after Fiori’s recent foray into Lincolnshire. She had climbed all 266 narrow steps up the tower of the iconic Boston Stump church (and the same number down!) just before singing Taverner’s atmospheric Gloria tibi Trinitas Mass in the very church where Taverner’s body is said to lie.
